Two Bra of the Month Styles Revealed!

Well hello there! Phew – how time flies. It’s already almost officially summer. Can you believe it?! I have some great news: it’s time to reveal the June Bra of the Month! And since I somehow forgot to share May’s fabulous Bra of the Month here on Linda Unhooked, keep scrolling down to see last month’s style, too…

Summer is always everyone’s favorite time to get in shape. Maybe it’s bikini season, or all of those weddings you have to attend that encourage us to get fit. Or maybe it’s just that you can’t hide under bulky sweaters anymore. Whatever the cause, I think it’s always a good choice to get healthy and active. And while you’re firming up those thighs and gluts, your breast tissue may be taking a beating. As you lose body fat, breasts will shrink and become less firm. The first step to protecting breasts is to wear the right sports bra. No more over the head S/M/L things that you just throw in the washer and dryer. Do you really want your breasts flopping up and down while you Zumba? I didn’t think so. And remember, as your breasts shrink, get refit for both sports bras and basic bras that properly fit!

Linda’s BFF: Bra Fan Forever is Lisa!

Do you hate your bras? Do you find it hard to find bras above a DD? Are you sick of digging straps? You’re not alone. Many of my best customers used to be bra haters. Take Lisa, for instance. She went from wearing a 38DD to a well-fitting 34H! She started shopping at my stores in 2009, and makes trips from Jamaica to my NYC stores just to get re-fit and restock her bras. She is a great example of a BFF: Bra Fan Forever!

Meet the Winners of the Strapless Style Photo Contest!

Hurray! It’s time to announce the winners of our Strapless Style Photo Contest! We had quite a few submissions and everyone looked so great in their strapless bra from Linda’s. It was a hard decision to make, but it had to be done. My Divas and I took a secret vote and tallied up the winners – it was sooo close! Here are the three ladies that we thought showed style, great support, and a touch of sass. Find out what these ladies wore underneath it all to get that winning look.

These two divas have quite a few things in common! Their one shoulder orange dresses look so amazing on their skin and are so “in” for this season. They also were both attending friend’s weddings when they snapped these photos. And, they both look supported and stylish in their strapless bras!

Krista, on the left, is wearing the LeMystere Soiree strapless bra. It’s such a smooth and supportive style. Here’s what she had to say about it: “I came to Linda’s a few days before an upcoming friend’s wedding in which I did a reading. I knew I needed the perfect strapless for my new, vibrant dress. This was the first time I tried a short line strapless and it made all the difference in the support for my narrow back and full cup. I felt amazing and was able to dance the night away comfortably and stylishly!” You GO girl!

Kim, on the right, struck a pose while on a bathroom break at her friend’s wedding. Just LOOK at that sassy pose. You can only get that kind of confidence when wearing the right bra, and she sure is. Just like it’s dressy counterpart, the little black swimsuit is versatile, flattering, and a staple that every woman should have in her wardrobe. Investing in a well made, perfectly fitting black swimsuit means you’re ready for any beach or poolside occasion. Add a few accessories, switch up your style, and ta-da! Need some LBS inspiration? You got it. Below, find a few of my style ideas for accessorizing your black swimsuit. These are just ideas – choose what YOU love and add them to your favorite suit. And remember: starting with a suit in the right size will help everything else look even better!

So chic! This Karla Colletto Rope One Piece Swimsuit is so sleek, and it fits sizes 8-16! The rope detail up the front is a small nautical touch that’s so easy to play up with summer sailor accessories. Pull a breezy tunic over it (also with a rope tie) and add in sleek but preppy boat shoes, a simple fedora and a gold and rope bracelet. Toss it all in your straw beach bag when you take a dip or lay out on your yacht. What, you don’t have a yacht? Just imagine you do. That’s what I do!
