For someone like me, a bra guru with over 20 years of experience fitting women in the right bra, bras and breasts are everyday talk. For some, the topic is taboo. Well, I’m here to tell you why you should stand up straight, clear your throat, and brag about your bra! Have you been watching the US Open? I caught a few matches and was really impressed – and not just with those cute twins, the Bryan brothers! I mean I was impressed with how great some of the women tennis players looked in their sports bras. However, there are always a few misses out there. In the photo above, the athlete to the right has left it to her sports top to control her breasts. Not working. While on the left, Ms. Williams gets ready for a massive hit, and her breasts are still in place! If you are ready to hit the court, you better make sure your sports bra is, too. Many times my fabulous bra fitters get asked “what bra are YOU wearing?” or “well, what’s your favorite bra?”. And though my girls always help you find the best bra for you, they love to share their favorite styles as well! I mean, after working with bras and boobs for so long, how could they not have a few personal favorites? First up: Kia! Kia is a great fitter with a lot of sass. School is just around the corner! It’s a great time to check in with your daughters and the young women in your life. Have things changed over the summer? And I don’t mean does she have a tan and great memories from camp. I mean, has her breast size changed? I know – this can be a pretty uncomfortable topic. I wrote a fabulous post (in my humble opinion) on helping your daughter buy her first bra, but what happens when she outgrows those bras? And more importantly, what happens if the little girl that you’ve raised suddenly has a more womanly figure … and is totally uncomfortable having it?
Below are my tips on the importance of “braducating” your daughter on what a normal cup size is and how you can help create a positive image of her changing body so she won’t spent her mornings taping down her breasts like Roberta in Now and Then.
Last Tuesday was our first ever Tasty Tuesday at Linda’s Lexington, and what a tasty evening it was! If you missed out on the free cocktails, yummy treats and bra fittings, here’s a few photos to get you up to speed. Some of our favorite customers stopped in for a re-fitting, brought a friend, or just said hi to our new manager and the staff! Lots of gals gobbled up our tasty treats (both healthy and sinful options) as well as the summery orange+cranberry+raspberry cocktail my Divas mixed up! There were lots of laughs, tons of girl talk, and some pretty amazing before and after bra make overs.

Remember when Oprah opened the women’s eyes to the importance of bra fitting? I sure do! She named the Le Mystere Dream Tisha as one of her favorite bras ever, and so did I. I have been fitting my customers in this bra for years now. You would think that its popularity would die down after a few years or new styles would come out to replace it, but the Dream Tisha has stuck around. Even with lots of new amazing styles out there, this still remains one of my most popular smooth, t-shirt bras for sizes 32C-44H!
