I’ve been a bra fitter for many years. When helping customers, I usually help women get into each of their bras, and focus on how it fits, and help adjust each bra. But after awhile, I started letting the customer put on her bra or adjust herself… and was quickly horrified. You wouldn’t believe the crazy things I saw, and the bra mistreatment that I witnessed. From the “crush and flip”, to putting it on over their head (for real – a young woman fastened her bra and then attempted to stretch the bra over her head and shoulders), to yanking up the straps…no good! I hope you loved the first Braducational video: How to Hand Wash Your Bras. If you missed it, check it out! Next up in this series is: How to Measure Yourself for a Bra. Let’s be clear: an in-person fitting with an expert bra fitter (like the Bra Divas at Linda’s) is ideal. As expert fitters, we have so much bra knowledge in our heads, and have tried each of the of bra styles on hundreds of women. We typically use a measuring tape to measure a woman’s underbust, then take a look at her breast tissue for shape and size, and go from there. Getting a bra fitting at Linda’s is really easy, and fun. An Interview with Twitter’s #BrideChat Host
As a bra fitting expert, I help a lot of brides and bridesmaid. A lot! So last year when I noticed the hashtag #bridechat in my Twitter feed, I decided to see if any Twitter brides needed my expertise. Turns out, they did! I help women with their undergarment and lingerie questions for the big day. I counsel brides to think about their friend’s breasts before demanding that every bridesmaid wear a backless gown. I even offer up my own thoughts on non-bra related topics! It’s really fun.
